Dosing is not based on weight! Instead it is based on your pet’s individual endocannabinoid system. We humans equate it to our tolerance of alcohol–everyone is different and it can change situationally. We recommend starting your pet on half a dropper. Wherever you start, see how they do after a few days. Sometimes it takes a few days to a few weeks to build up in their system–each animal is different. From there you can find a maintenance dose. This maintenance dose should be given every day (even twice a day) for chronic issues. However, you can adjust it up or down if the issue fluctuates. You can also give situationally as well–for this we recommend a slightly higher dose. If giving for situational stress (Hello, car rides to the vet!) ideally this should be given at least 1 hour before, but will still be helpful if given in the moment.
